Aver Dental Extracting forceps – Knurled Handle (Classic dotted grip for secure hold) used for grasping teeth during their removal from the socket. It is one of the most important instruments used in the extraction procedure. Extraction forceps are used along with elevators to extract teeth. Each extraction forcep is designed for a particular area of the mouth. To grasp or apply pressure on the tooth and remove it, dentist use extraction forceps and elevators. These are plier-like instruments used to grasp and pull teeth. These Forceps are designed for the Extraction of a particular tooth in the Maxilla or Mandible.
The unique design of the Aver Forceps allows for light but constant pressure to be applied to the tooth which leads to chemical changes and subsequent release of the Sharpey’s fibers. Once the tooth releases, it can be removed simply with a rongeur or even just fingers.
